Austin Streeper receives Grant for Good from the Invest in Others Charitable Foundation to support Dane County youth

ANDOVER, Mass. — December 11, 2023 — Austin Streeper, Partner at North Star Resource Group – Madison, was announced today as a 2023 Grants for Goods recipient from the Invest in Others Charitable Foundation (“Invest in Others”).

Streeper received this grant to support his work with the Canopy Foundation, a nonprofit in Dane County, Wis., focused on providing care for children experiencing abuse.

“The staff at Canopy Center has and continues to do such amazing work with the resources they are provided,” Streeper stated. “It’s so exciting to see a national foundation like Invest in Others recognize, reward, and support them for what they are doing to help children in need.”

The Grants for Good and Grants for Change programs enable financial services professionals to obtain funding for specific projects and initiatives on behalf of the nonprofits they support. Each program provides up to $20,000 to nonprofits for program support, seed money, or capital improvements.

Streeper has been involved with the Canopy Center since 2012 and has been a member of the Board since 2013. By providing financial guidance in budgeting and spending and providing crucial support to the Canopy Center’s staff, he helped them expand their budget from $533,000 in 2013 to nearly $1.3 million in 2023.

His efforts have allowed them to expand the number of programs they offer to Dane County children while also growing their capabilities within each of their current programs. He has also helped ensure that the Canopy Center and its staff are prepared for the future by helping them set up simple IRA plans with agency matches for each of their employees.

In total, Invest in Others granted a total of $298,000 to 17 organizations across the country in 2023, with gifts ranging from $5,500 to $20,000. These grants are crucial to helping these nonprofits expand their reach and amplify their impact on communities nationwide.
