North Star advisors recognized on Forbes Top Financial Security Professionals list
MINNEAPOLIS — November 16, 2022 — Shaun McDuffee and Craig Molldrem have been recognized by Forbes as members of the 2022 Top Financial Security Professional Best-In-State list..
This year’s list includes an overall ranking of the best insurance professionals across the country, as well as the top candidates in each state.
Listed #12 in the country and #5 in the state of Texas, McDuffee began his career as a financial advisor at North Star in the 1990s, before founding Twin Oak Advisors as a North Star affiliate, specializing in the financial needs of physicians.

The Forbes ranking was determined based on a comparison of business practices based on both qualitative and quantitative elements in a survey conducted by SHOOK Research. Qualitative elements including production/premiums death benefits and assets under management, client-related trends and data were analyzed. Additionally, quantitative elements such as meetings with professionals, use of team and team dynamics, level of community involvement, credentials and years of service, and other elements were analyzed as well.
