Tyler Laurentius, CFP®
Financial Advisor
About
Growing up in Canton, Michigan, Tyler and his three siblings saw firsthand the importance of strong financial strategies. His mother was affected by cancer for roughly 15 years and had numerous medical expenses throughout their childhood. However, Tyler’s father instilled strong financial habits and proper planning that allowed Tyler and his siblings to live a life full of sports, fun activities, and obtain top level education; all while their dad was able to meet medical bills and retire at his desired age.
Now, Tyler combines his passion for relationship building and his skills in finance and investing to help clients achieve their financial goals.
Wealth management and financial planning can be a daunting topic, but Tyler works to empower his clients to implement strong financial strategies towards their goals. By incorporating trust and transparency into his practice, he encourages clients to take action with their finances in order to impact not only their immediate families, but future generations as well.
He is FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 registered, holds his Life, Accident and Health Insurance license and is a member of North Star’s Medical Division.
Tyler attended Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan, where he studied financial management and focused on investing and markets. He was a member of the Hillsdale college football team and played for the team when they won the conference championship in 2018 at the D2 level. In addition to his involvement with the football team and pursuing his degree, he was a member of a mentorship club called ‘Guys with Ties’. The program provides young boys the opportunity to learn practical life skills from their mentors. Additionally, Tyler frequently assisted with the tutoring of a first-grade class, where he worked with students who were behind on specific education topics.
Today, his three siblings can be found throughout the United States excelling in their respective careers. Tyler’s older brother Aaron now lives in Austin, TX where he is excelling in the financial world, while Tess, Tyler’s older sister, lives in Indiana where she practices as an Occupational therapist and Abbi, Tyler’s younger sister, lives in Traverse City, MI where she cares for patients as a Registered Nurse.
Tyler, who now lives in Scottsdale, Arizona, can be found unwinding in two ways: family or sports. When not at work, he can often be found enjoying the warm weather with his girlfriend, Jessica, and their two dogs Luna and Saint, updating his fantasy football league, or watching rounds of golf tournaments. Now that he is located out west, golfing year-round has also become an obsession of his.
