McKenna Stephens is a financial advisor and has been working with North Star since 2004. Her clients extend across the United States, although she is based in the Scottsdale area. In 2018, McKenna and her associates set the foundation for North Star Resource Group – Scottsdale as a boutique, client-centric, integrity-driven, comprehensive wealth management practice to cater to the needs of high-income and high-net-worth clients.
McKenna has over 15 years of experience helping with the financial needs of medical professionals and families whose income, debt, and priorities require a specific strategy to reach their long-term objectives and wealth management goals. She has the experience and skill set required to develop a financial strategy unique to each of her clients. Her philosophy is to provide clients with the necessary tools to make sound financial decisions. Through the development of long-term relationships with her clients, her goal is to assist individuals and businesses in identifying their needs for asset protection, wealth accumulation, practice solutions and retirement funding.
Throughout her life, McKenna has seen the devastating effects that poor financial planning can have on a family. She is passionate about being able to provide a sense of security to her clients, that they are prepared for all of life’s ups and downs. She works closely with her associates in the Scottsdale Office, Stephanie Tsang and Ali Rizvi, and together they spoke to many different organizations in the Southwest. McKenna is FINRA Series 7 and 66 registered. She is also a Certified Financial Planner professional, in which advisors are obliged to uphold the principles of integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness, confidentiality, professionalism and diligence as outlined in CFP Board’s Code of Ethics. Along with fellow advisors Todd Bramson and Stephanie Tsang, McKenna co-wrote Financial Planning for Women, published in 2008, providing case studies on actual situations she has encountered.
Born in Connecticut, McKenna has lived in Arizona since 1985 where she attended Arizona State University for both her Bachelor of Science and her Master of Business Administration.
She currently resides in Scottsdale with her husband, Mark, and her two children, Kaia and Nash. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling whenever possible.
