Jeff Turton, RICP®, WMCP®

Senior Financial Advisor, Associate Partner

The physician’s source for transparent financial guidance.

Letting someone into your financial life can be an exposing process, and you need someone you can trust with your victories along with your shortcomings.

Jeff works primarily on a referral basis so that he can take the time to build trust and be the lifelong financial ally for each one of his clients.

When you work with Jeff, you can expect transparency, clarity, and commitment.

Transparency: For the professional-client relationship to work, the client needs to be honest about their spending patterns and goals, and the advisor must be clear on the pros and cons of each option and the fees and commissions associated.

Clarity: Jeff takes the time to break down complex topics in a way that is easy to understand for your life. With over 18 years of experience working closely with physicians and their families, Jeff understands the specific financial challenges and opportunities your career provides, and he addresses each one throughout the financial planning relationship.

Commitment: Jeff’s goal is to be a core element to your financial success, and he is fully committed to providing value that allows you to enjoy life now while preparing for all the future holds.

More about Jeff

In 2020, Jeff married Jenna, who he met through North Star. Together, they love traveling, especially to visit family and their many nieces and nephews. They also enjoy any activity involving food: Food tours, food trucks, fine dining—you name it!

While his career is based on security and risk management, Jeff is adventurous in his life outside the office. He loves skydiving and has over a thousand jumps to-date, including a four-way formation jump that earned him a gold medal in the 2018 U.S. Nationals.

Fee-based financial planning

Take the guess work out of saving and insurance. Using sophisticated software to track milestones and project your financial future, Jeff helps you avoid situations where you are purchasing more insurance than you really need or living in scarcity now for fear of not having enough later.

In a financial planning relationship, Jeff works in a fiduciary capacity and de-emphasizes specific companies and products, so you can gain clarity on what you need and confidence in where you can say no.

Separate from the financial plan and our role as financial planner, we may recommend the purchase of specific investment or insurance products or accounts. These product recommendations are not part of the financial plan and you are under no obligation to follow them.

Wealth management

A wealth management strategy is important to outpace inflation and prepare for the retirement lifestyle you desire.

With people living longer, it’s not a stretch to assume you could be retired for 40 years and that money needs to last. Jeff can help you make sure it does.

Life and disability insurance

Insurance is your defense strategy. Jeff understands that the best investment strategy in the world means nothing if you lose the income that supports it.

This isn’t about scraping up a few donated dollars to cover the basic needs of your family if the worst happens. Rather, Jeff can help you build stability into your overall financial strategy so you can be confident in the future, no matter what life throws at you.

Financial guidance for all life’s big events

Jeff is your lifelong financial ally, available for any questions and needs that come up in your financial life. As new opportunities and challenges arise, you can be confident you’ll receive the same transparent direction you expect from Jeff alongside the expertise of North Star’s team of investment and insurance specialists.

No more shopping for a new representative for every need. Jeff and North Star can be your one-stop financial resource.
