Organizing your financial life is easier than you think.
Ericka Schaefer helps people established in their career with retirement strategies so they can save for the future without sacrificing a meaningful life now.
Ericka’s entrance into financial advising is unique for the industry. In college, she was a political science major with plans to go to law school. However, during an internship on Capitol Hill, she started feeling that politics was too out of touch with actual people. Her senior year, she took an estate planning class and fell in love with the financial industry and understanding people’s wishes during and after life.
She was trained and worked as a financial advisor for a year at Edward Jones, and then transitioned to an investment specialist at North Star in 2013, gaining skills creating investment strategies.
In 2017, Ericka began working with Augustine + Johnson in an investment support role, but by March 2018, she was an official partner of Augustine + Johnson and back to her roots as an advisor.
“I never actually thought I’d jump back into advising,” says Ericka. “But once I started working with Augustine + Johnson, I realized how much I missed client interaction.”
Today, she differs from the average advisor by taking a goals- and needs-based approach to retirement strategies to help her clients live the life they’ve always dreamt of with the assets and savings they have available.
