Fees

I get paid in three different ways: Financial Planning, Investment, and Insurance. As you decide how you would like to work with me and what recommendations I provide that you would like to act on, I am always transparent both on your actual cost and how I am paid based on your choices, so that you never need to wonder about motivations.

  • Financial Planning is a fee-for-service, usually $50-$300 per month depending on the complexity of your situation and plan. This fee pays for the time and expertise required to design your plan and provide ongoing support and guidance as we implement the plan together.
  • Investment Advisory Fees cover the time and expertise provided by an investment manager to rebalance, monitor, and manage your portfolio or individual investments. Typically, this fee is a percentage of your investment balance, averaging at 1%, but potentially higher or lower depending on the amount of the assets—meaning the more you have someone managing, the lower the percentage of the annual fee.
  • Insurance Commissions are paid by carriers as a “thank you” for selling their products. However, these commissions have no impact on your monthly payment. As a financial advisor, I look at your whole financial situation before recommending any insurance solution, helping you stay protected while keeping your monthly expenses down so that you can put more of your income toward long-term goals.
