MINNEAPOLIS, MN—North Star Resource Group’s CEO, Edward Deutschlander, CLU®, CLF, had the opportunity to speak at GAMA Hellas’s annual conference in Athens, Greece, entitled “Facing the Challenge.” The event took place over February 17 – 18, 2017, sponsored by GAMA International’s LAMP conference.
The conference, now in its fifth year, serves to provide Greek financial professionals with motivational, practical and informational takeaways for their own firms and practices. Held at the Benaki Museum amphitheater in Athens, the conference hosted nearly 300 Greek professionals over its two-day course. Deutschlander presented on both days of the conference, speaking on recruiting efforts. His first presentation, titled “Next Generation Recruiting: Attracting Tomorrow’s Performers,” focused on the value of hard work and the success that will reward persistence, despite difficulties that may occur along the way. His second presentation, titled “Recruiting University,” dove into detail regarding selection systems as well as staffing and professional development. Deutschlander also challenged participants to commit to their personal goals and visions for their organizations.
