Craig Molldrem Announced as Recipient of LIMRA’s 10 Rising Stars in Distribution

The awards recognized 10 of the financial services profession’s rising stars under 40 demonstrating career excellence.

DALLAS — Craig Molldrem, CLTC, RICP, AIF®, CAP, CLU®, ChFC®, CFP®, Senior Partner and Financial Advisor, was announced as one of 10 winners of LIMRA’s 2018 Rising Stars of Distribution. The winners of the 3rd annual awards will be honored at a reception during LIMRA’s Annual Conference in October in New York City.

“Craig has been exemplary in proving that it is possible to have a successful and growing individual practice while also mentoring and investing in the success of others,” says Ed Deutschlander, CEO of North Star Resource Group. “He has been a faithful grower of advisors for years in addition to being a great advisor and we could not be prouder of all he has accomplished.”

The awards celebrate 10 up-and-comers in distribution who are looking to make a difference and have demonstrated success throughout their careers. “These future distribution leaders will help shape the industry in the years to come. Their skills and abilities are essential to be able to keep pace and compete today and in the future,” said Patrick Leary, corporate vice president, Distribution Research at LIMRA. “We are excited to celebrate the successes of these young professionals.” LIMRA is a worldwide research, consulting and professional development organization, serving more than 850 insurance and financial services companies in 64 countries. During the organization’s 100th anniversary in 2016, they developed the first Rising Star awards to commemorate the occasion and have since kept the awards going to recognize the talented professionals under 40 in the financial services profession.

Molldrem is a Dallas-based financial advisor. Working with North Star Resource Group since 2002, he is now a senior partner and key leader within North Star’s Lone Star division, a division comprised of about 30 financial advisors spanned across 8 states. Molldrem has long been a mentor to younger financial advisors and interns. In recognition of his success as a leader, he was a recipient of Securian Financial Group’s Field Director of the Year award in 2012, 2013 and 2015 and of GAMA International’s Frontline Leader Award in 2015 and 2017. Prior to becoming a financial advisor, Molldrem enjoyed a decorated 5-year professional baseball career. He has applied the same skills that made him a successful athlete (perseverance, leadership, a dedicated work ethic, and passion) to his career in finance. He was recognized as Securian’s Top New Advisor of the Year in 2010 and proudly has earned seven designations (CLTC, RICP, AIF®, CAP, CLU®, ChFC®, CFP®). He serves his client base of primarily physicians and dentists, valuing proper customer service and the impact that a solid financial strategy can provide.
