To work with individuals and businesses enhancing their financial future to the utmost using techniques and services that are conservative yet innovative in their approach to each individual’s and/or business’s situation. In doing this, it helps my clients benefit from financial freedom to enjoy their families, friends, hobbies and careers.

Don has been in the financial and insurance business for over 35 years. He is a life long Twin Cities’ resident and is currently a Vice President of North Star Resource Group and the manager for North Star’s St. Paul office.

Don specializes in working with small and medium sized businesses, along with professionals and affluent individuals. He brings a wide range of knowledge and skills to the process of developing comprehensive financial strategies; helping individuals and businesses in strategizing to attain their goals, while always recognizing each unique situation.

Not only is Don a frequent speaker at industry meetings, but he conducts frequent seminars primarily on estate and business planning, involving business continuation. His experience and knowledge encompass a wide range of techniques and products available in today’s marketplace.

Don’s career began in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1966 as an agent with Minnesota Life. He joined the Minnesota Life home office in 1969 and served as Superintendent of Agencies and subsequently Director of Agency, which involved field marketing responsibilities to all Minnesota Life Agencies, on a national basis.

Since early 1984, Don has been with North Star Resource Group. In addition to working with clients, he supervises the marketing activities of the St. Paul office as well as a unit of individuals at North Star’s corporate headquarters located in Minneapolis. His first priority, however, is working with his clients and helping them to achieve their own financial success.

Don’s professional qualifications include a 31-year membership to the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA); and memberships to GAMA (General Agents & Manager’s Association) and GAMA International, the American Association of Health Insurance Agents, the St. Paul Club and the St. Paul Festival Association. In addition, he is a Certified Life Underwriter (CLU) and a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

He attended Cretin High School and the University of St. Thomas, both located in St. Paul. His hobbies include fishing, boating and spending a lot of time with his seven grandchildren. He and his wife Sheri have six children and live in White Bear Lake, Minnesota.
