Ron was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. Ron graduated from Cleveland High School and then went on to Oregon State University where he received his BS degree. He then attended the University of Oregon where he received his MBA. Ron had an array of careers before he entered the insurance business. He was a National Field Secretary for his college fraternity, delved into politics, and sold for Xerox Corporation before entering into the insurance business more than thirty years ago, prompted by his father who had been a legend in the field. Today, his primary target area remains the small family business market, where he can provide several different avenues of service including group employee benefits.

In the community, Ron has been involved in the Rotary Club of East Portland for the past eighteen years. Last year he was named Rotarian of the Year of the 140 person group. Ron has remained involved with his college fraternity affairs and last summer was the Vice-Chair of the National Convention held here in Portland. He spends several hours each week helping low income citizens in the Clackamas County Money Management program. And he is currently President of his Homeowner Association.

Ron's motto for life is WORK HARD, PLAY HARD.
