—Nicole Winter Tietel Nicole Winter Tietel is an accomplished financial services professional and the current President of Winter & Associates, Inc. The company was started in 1908 by her great grandfather, A.O. Eliason and is celebrating its 102nd Anniversary. Nicole is the first female member to be in charge of this dynamic company, which is an affiliate of North Star Resource Group. Nicole’s professional accomplishments are notable and numerous. She has led Winter & Associates in helping clients protect, accumulate, and distribute wealth since 1995. Because of her hard work and marketing acumen, the business has remained successful through good and bad economic markets. As of January 2011, Nicole's clients have over $250 million of insurance in-force and have approximately $25 million in combined annuity and brokerage funds. Before joining the family business, Nicole graduated with honors from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science. Nicole was an Associate Promotion Manager for General Mills. While at General Mills she designed and executed promotions for eight brands – with annual budgets in excess of $30 million. For her exceptional contributions and expertise, Nicole won the General Mills “Marketing Excellence Award” and “Paddling Upstream Award.” Nicole’s other achievements including becoming a seven-time qualifying member of The Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), The Premier Association of Financial Professionals®. MDRT membership is an exclusive honor, only achieved by a small percentage of all life insurance and financial professionals worldwide. Nicole believes in the importance of giving back to the community and her industry, and thus is involved with a variety of programs. She is currently a member of the Junior League of St. Paul, a board member of Dodge Nature Center, and immediate past treasurer of the St. Paul Academy Lower School Parent’s Association. She is a former president of the St. Paul Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and a member of Premier Resource Group, a qualification based group of national financial professionals. Nicole also willingly gives her time and talent as a frequent speaker at various seminars. Additionally, she has participated in radio interviews with WCCO-AM (the Mondale and Jones show), KKMS-FM, and WWJC-AM on Ted Elm’s Northland Notebook in Duluth. She has been featured in numerous publications including The St. Paul Pioneer Press, Minnesota Business Monthly and National Underwriter Magazine, along with being a published author in Upsize Magazine. Nicole resides in St. Paul, Minnesota with her husband Michael and two children, Shelby, 11 years old and Riley, 9 years old.
