He joined North Star Resource Group in 2007 and is a member of North Star’s Medical Division, a group of advisors who specialize in working with physicians, dentists and pharmacists, sharing best practices and the latest trends in medicine. Jon works with physicians as early as their final year of medical school, through residency, fellowship and into practice. In addition, he practices jointly with business partner and fellow Advisor, Todd Bramson, creating a powerful team who co-authored the book Real Life Financial Planning for Physicians. Jon concentrates on comprehensive financial services with specific strategies to the unique financial circumstances that medical professionals face, including, but not limited to: debt management, risk management, asset protection strategies, investments, retirement preparation, tax-efficient investing and estate planning. Jon has a National practice comprised of hundreds of clients throughout the United States and is continuing to grow with his experienced staff. Jon has been distinguished by the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), The Premier Association of Financial Professionals®, which recognizes the top 5-7% of financial advisors worldwide. He has also been made a columnist for Physician’s Money Digest and has also pioneered the ‘Financial Focus’ column for Review of Ophthalmology and ‘EM$ and Sense’ for Emergency Medicine Magazine. He has additionally been called upon to regularly contribute to Medical Economics to weigh in on the important financial issues physicians face as well. Jon enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, working out, and crossing things off his “Sports Bucket List."
