Over the past eleven years, Dan has built his financial advising practice on the following principle: “Each client deserves my best effort to deliver client-centered financial advice, instruments, and follow-up, consistent with quality recommendations aimed at effectively meeting client needs.” Those eleven years have included building two practices - one where his career began in North Star’s flagship Minneapolis, MN, office, and the other out of his current primary office in Austin, TX. While Dan’s practice has become diversified through referrals to senior generations, business owners, and dozens of occupation types, the majority of his clients are specialty physicians. Born and raised in northern Minnesota, Dan studied organizational management and finance at Gustavus Adolphus College, and started his career as a Financial Advisor at North Star Consultants, Inc. immediately thereafter. Dan’s objective is to build an “organic practice” – one which is founded on keeping existing clients for years to come through met and exceeded expectations, thus eliminating the need to routinely deal with client turnover. He believes that focusing on cultivating an organic practice creates healthy growth through new clients referred from existing relationships. Dan is a member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) which is made up of the top 5% of financial professionals worldwide. Dan and his wife, Abby, live in southwest Austin with their two sons (Jackson, 6, and Ryder, 4). Their third son, Finn, is due to arrive in mid-October, 2011.
