Ben is currently a Partner with North Star Resource Group. He specializes in providing financial education and individualized strategies to physician households helping to enable them to make informed decisions.

Ben understands time is our most valuable resource and with the abundance of financial commentary, internet sites, and periodicals it can be challenging for his clients to research and formulate opinions. He believes in empowering his clients on the pros and cons of each financial decision through education. Beyond the classroom most of Ben's expertise has come through his practical experience and one-on-one physician consulting. Unfortunately, he has seen first hand the negative impact of poor financial decisions. More specifically, Ben explores strategies on:

Ben is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM practitioner (CFP^®), Chartered Funds Specialist (CFS), a qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table, The Premier Association of Financial Professionals^® recognizing the top 7% of advisors worldwide, as well as the recepient of the GOLD PROJECT AWARD for his work on community financial education. He believes the best advisors adhere to an appreciation of continued education and Ben fills this purpose serving on various Financial Planning Committees and North Star's Medical Division.

Ben joined North Star in 2001 upon graduating cum laude from the University of St. Thomas. He currently maintains his residence in Kansas City, Missouri and Minneapolis, Minnesota with his wife Lesley. He is active with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, community outreach programs, and is a member of the Finn Society. Ben enjoys studying investor behavior, running, and trying to break 100 on the golf course.
