Aaron believes in building individualized financial roadmaps that will help his clients achieve their goals, and outside of the planning process works with his clients to find quality products designed to help meet those financial goals. With a degree from Minnesota State University-Mankato in financial planning and investment analysis, Aaron began his career at North Star in 1999 as an intern and was later named “Rookie of the Year.” Since then, having earned his Certified Funds Specialist designation, he has come to specialize in working with physicians and other high income medical professionals. These partnerships typically begin during internship or residency, where Aaron will guide them in handling debt management, cash accumulation, moonlighting income as well as insurance and investment strategies. Once the transition to practice has been made, the focus shifts to asset protection, wealth accumulation, retirement options, and tax minimization methods1, while still continuing effective (and potentially profitable) investment and insurance strategies. As a member of the North Star Medical Division, Aaron frequently speaks as a guest lecturer to such residency and fellowship programs as the University of Utah, University of Minnesota, Mayo Clinic, Rapid City Regional Hospital, Marshfield Clinic as well as thirty other programs nationwide. At his speaking events, Aaron delivers usable and focused information and is known for his memorable speaking style—high strung, intense, yet funny. As an encouraging and experienced mentor to the younger advisors, Aaron is seen as a leader among the North Star professional community. In his spare time, Aaron enjoys photography and spending quality time with his wife, Cassandra, a CNP and daughter, Natalie at their home in Dassel, Minnesota. 1This information should not be considered as tax or legal advice.
